Remembering "The Odyssey" (1997) and when I get to the part of the murder of the suitors there is one thing I loved about that movie:

In the moment when the suitors are trying to bend the bow made by Odysseus and try to pull the string in it. They used their hands and failed but then the movie does something incredible. Odysseus uses his leg to bend it and put the string on it which made me realize;

Maybe that is the reason why no one could bend the bow in the first place. Because it was never about strength at all!

Odysseus was known for his strong arms and his capability with Spear and sword but he was never the strongest man out there. However he was known to be the most cunning. I wouldn't be surprised if that was the principle with which he made his bow as well. Maybe the bow could be bended only if someone put a certain resistance to a specific place of it.

So that's why no one ever bended the dang thing. Odysseus built a freaking puzzle-box-bow!

Love Greek-inspired characters and settings so this was a treat! I tried my hand at a classic greek style ship just scaled down and did some fun water studies for this! One of these time I will not make a super wide piece...not this time...but one day...

  When Pariah was awoken from his slumber, he wasn’t exactly expecting it. One was never expecting to awaken when they were supposed to be sealed for eternity after all. He also wasn’t expecting for the reason the sarcophagus was even opened to be a pair of literal infants. A pair of very sick infants.

  One was a newborn ancient for Realms’ sake! Two years dead, if that, and the other- Where was their guardian?! Who had let an obsession get that bad?! How long had he been sealed away that no one had caught an obsession turning toxic and harmful towards a ghostling?! 

  Why was he even sealed inside this area of the zone?! Why had his Keep been moved in the center of one of the zones where ghostlings formed?! He’d never harm a ghostling, but if he’d been any madder (And he knows he had lost it near the end there, that he’d gone too far as he cracked under the weight of the Realms, he’d had an eternity to realize) it would have been a catastrophe! 

  Who has been in charge, the observants!? … What the fuck, that was supposed to be rhetorical! No! They’re good for paperwork but they seem to have failed even at that and- what do you mean they’ve sealed Clockwork away?! 

  The already traumatized Time Primordial who was in this type of area specifically to care for ghostlings, and was now being prevented?! How long has this been going on- No! He’s fixing his realms-damned kingdom before he even thinks about conquering other ones, because who the fuck let it get this bad!

   Pspsps, here little sick ghostlings, he’s trying very hard not to hurt you but you are very tiny and he has been locked away for a long time so please stop squirming…

This is an absolutely bizarre thing to say but I find it funny and comforting that so many of the scariest, meanest, war crimiest 40k characters were babies once. Like, barring certain weird scientific exceptions, everybody was a baby once. The bloodsoaked Night Lord about to turn you inside out was once a tiny helpless baby. Tyberos of the Red Wake? He was a toothless infant once. Kharn the Betrayer? Once upon a time, thousands of years ago on Terra, he was born, wailing and needy, not even able to walk, let alone bear a chainaxe. All the Primarchs started life as babies, and though they didn't stay that way for long, they were still babies. There was even a time once, in ancient days before even Mesopotamia, where you could hold the Emperor of Mankind in your arms and coo at his widdle feetsies and chubby cheeks.

Ok, this is probably the result of me going completely crazy, and the information could also be really wrong (which is very plausible considering my memory), but when I was in middle school my art professor told us that this specific pose found in Egyptian tombs:

Meant that the person embracing the other was "supporting their loved ones", and so now my mind got to the conclusion that Jedi Masters with their Padawans do portraits where the Master holds the student kinda like this, to show that they are "supporting their growth" (in any possible sense!)

Idk if any of this makes sense to ya’ll but in my mind IT DOES AND NOW I WANNA DRAW PADAWAN/MASTER DUOS LIKE THIS HELP
